Trump’s Obsession with Windmills [Video]

Ah, Donald Trump and his relentless crusade against windmills — truly a modern marvel of political wit. Who knew that these towering, eco-friendly giants could cause… well, everything except what they’re actually meant to do? From causing cancer to killing all the birds that ever chirped on God’s green Earth, Trump has turned wind turbines into the villain of his fantasy world — all while conveniently ignoring the fact that he’s standing in a rapidly heating climate crisis fueled by fossil fuels.

Let’s start with the grand, Oscar-worthy claim that windmills cause cancer. Because, of course, nothing screams “scientific innovation” like blaming clean energy for a disease. Perhaps Trump missed the memo when scientists confirmed that wind turbines are, in fact, noise pollution devices that produce clean energy, not carcinogenic contagions. But who needs facts when you’ve got fear-mongering? I can just imagine him in a press conference, frowning at a turbine, declaring, “These things cause cancer — I just know it!” It’s the kind of hyperbole that only a few dozen Fox News hosts can rival.

And then there’s the bird-killing trope — the favorite of climate deniers and neocons alike. Trump insisted that wind turbines were “the highest killers of birds,” conveniently forgetting that fossil fuel extraction and climate change itself are responsible for far more avian casualties than a few spinning blades. But facts are pesky, especially when they threaten to derail a good story about how windmills are “bad” and “evil.” Plus, you have to love the imagery of Trump palette-cleanser-in-chief, red face glowing, screaming about birds getting “whacked” by eco-friendly turbines — probably while chomping on a Big Mac made from factory-farmed beef.

But perhaps what’s most amusing is the sheer inconsistency: Trump stands in front of a wind farm — likely paid for with subsidies his administration tried to cut — and publicly rants about how these towers of clean energy are destroying America’s soul. It’s almost poetic how he manages to attack the very innovation that could save us from climate catastrophe while simultaneously profiting off fossil fuels and misrepresenting reality.

In the grand Trump tradition, this isn’t about science or environmental benefit — it’s about fear, greed, and political posturing. Windmills became his favorite scapegoat because they’re visible, inconvenient symbols of progress that threaten fossil fuel profits and his fragile ego. Nothing has stopped him from invoking the “bird killer” myth every time the wind hits the right note of conservative hysteria.

The truth (if you insist on facts): wind turbines are among the safest, cleanest, and most effective tools we have to combat climate change. But for Trump, facts are just inconvenient barriers in his carnival of conspiracy and chaos. So, he’ll keep shouting about cancer-causing windmills and bird executions, all while the planet burns and his supporters cheer — because, in Trump’s universe, fear trumps facts, and wind turbines are just another villain script in his ongoing production of climate denial.

Meanwhile, the rest of us will keep working toward a future where wind, solar, and other renewables actually get the respect they deserve — and where windmills stop being the scapegoats of a nation obsessed with ignoring reality and clinging to myths. Maybe someday, Trump will realize that wind turbines don’t cause cancer or kill all the birds; they just threaten his narrative, and that’s a crime he’ll probably never admit he’s committed.
