Superman Abandons Hope: Dean Cain Joins ICE to ‘save America’

Wow, just when you thought the theatrical delusions of celebrity politics couldn’t get any more surreal, here comes Dean Cain—worst Superman ever, now self-styled law enforcement hero—announcing he’s donning a new cape for ICE. Because nothing screams superhero quite like aligning oneself with a federal agency responsible for tearing families apart, terrorizing immigrant communities, and executing racist, unconstitutional sweeps under the guise of “saving America.”

Cain’s declaration that he’ll be sworn in as an ICE agent to “help save America” is so dripping with faux heroism it’s practically radioactive. It’s fascinating how he pens this narrative of heroism—talking about arresting terrorists, rapists, murderers, and “the worst of the worst”—all while conveniently ignoring or dismissing the fact that recent ICE data shows over 120,000 arrests since October involved individuals who committed no serious crimes. That’s right, Dean. While you’re busy playing law enforcer, real families are being torn apart by a system that has criminalized the undocumented for political capital, not for public safety.

And let’s not forget Cain’s cheerleading for Trump’s grotesque immigration policies, which have turned into a lucrative pipeline of fear, hate, and profit—$75 billion in extra funding to ramp up raids, with the White House setting an absurd goal of 3,000 arrests per day. That’s not the help of a hero; that’s the orchestrated machinery of state-sponsored xenophobia. But Cain, ever the vigilant savior, enthusiastically signs up, embracing the violence and chaos because, as he says, “If you want to help save America, ICE is arresting the worst of the worst.” What’s next? Capes and masks, Dean? Or maybe just a badge and a side of moral bankruptcy?

And what about the age limits? With DHS now removing restrictions—because who better to brutalize vulnerable communities than aging recruits open to overreach? It’s almost poetic how the very agency that’s been systematically undermining civil liberties and human rights now wants to recruit anyone old enough to remember what democracy once looked like.

Cain’s self-righteousness is almost impressive in its audacity. Once a symbol of heroism on screen, now he’s a symbol of how far the celebrity class will go to endorse and legitimize oppression. His declaration that he “likes” what ICE is doing—removing criminals, removing families, removing humanity—is a stark reminder that in the twisted world of partisan patriotism, morality takes a back seat to nationalistic bravado.

So congratulations, Dean. You’ve traded your cape for a badge. But don’t expect us to be fooled. Real heroes don’t applaud the tearing of families apart or celebrate a government spending billions on violence and deportation. They stand against it. Unlike you, who’s busy saving America one ICE raid at a time, we’re fighting to save what little humanity remains in the chaos.
