Dear MAGA: Trump Thinks You’re Stupid [Video]

Donald Trump’s history of using distractions and diversions to evade accountability is well-documented, and his recent efforts to divert attention from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal are no exception. As mounting evidence and credible reports continue to expose connections between Epstein and figures in Trump’s orbit, the former president has masterfully employed a variety of tactics to shift the focus elsewhere — a classic playbook designed to muddy the waters and protect himself from scrutiny.

First, Trump has ramped up his conspiracy theories, launching into wild accusations against his political opponents. Whether it’s alleging that Barack Obama tried to orchestrate a coup or claiming that Joe Biden is suffering from cognitive decline, these baseless allegations serve as shiny objects that divert media and public attention from the very real Epstein scandal. Instead of dealing with his own tangled web, Trump’s strategy is to keep the spotlight on “the other guy,” effectively muddying the waters and sowing confusion.

Second, he’s repeatedly weaponized his social media platforms, especially Truth Social, to flood the airwaves with inflammatory posts. During critical moments when new revelations about Epstein surfaced, Trump posted dozens of times in a single day — demanding that the Washington Commanders change their name back to Redskins, sharing AI-generated videos of Obama in handcuffs, and throwing around accusations against everyone from Hillary Clinton to the FBI. These attention-grabbing stunts are designed to drown out any discussion of Epstein, and unsurprisingly, they often succeed in hijacking the conversation.

Third, Trump has employed outright denial and gaslighting, claiming he has “no idea” about Epstein’s crimes or connections. This tactic echoes other strategic denials he’s used in the past, including the infamous “no collusion” mantra, which conveniently served to dismiss investigations. By asserting ignorance, he attempts to distance himself from Epstein’s horrors even as numerous reports suggest potential overlapping social circles and associations. It’s classic distraction: claim innocence, attack critics, and hope no one notices the growing avalanche of evidence.

Finally, Trump’s allies and surrogates have helped shift the narrative by launching their own conspiracy theories. Former associates like Kash Patel talk about secret vaults filled with “dark secrets,” while others insist the entire Epstein story is a deep state fabrication meant to undermine conservatives. These disinformation campaigns serve to delegitimize credible investigations and smear those seeking accountability, turning a scandal into chaos.

All of this seems part of a broader strategy: keep the public preoccupied with circus acts, misinformation, and blame-shifting so that the scandalious truths about Epstein — and potentially others in high places — remain buried or at least less scrutinized. The goal? Protect the powerful and maintain the illusion that Trump is immune from consequences.

Make no mistake: this pattern of distraction isn’t accidental. It’s a deliberate, cynical attempt to manipulate the media cycle and public perception, ensuring that accountability remains elusive. But the truth continues to surface, and the more Trump and his allies try to bury it under layers of distraction, the clearer it becomes that justice must ultimately prevail.

In a society that claims to value transparency and accountability, sustained investigative efforts and public pressure are our best tools to cut through the noise. We must stay vigilant, demand answers, and refuse to let distractions drown out the urgent need for justice in the Epstein case and beyond. Only then can we move toward a future where no one, regardless of their power or influence, is above the law.
