Nothing screams “serious governance” like President Trump’s tantrums about Beyoncé, Oprah, and Kamala Harris — the latest shiny objects in Donald Trump’s never-ending effort to distract from some very inconvenient truths. It’s truly hilarious how he’s suddenly outraged over “illegal” payments to celebrities, conveniently ignoring that his own administration was busy handing out taxpayer-funded hush money, engaging in insider trading, and turning the government into a personal ATM for the Trump Crime Family.
But sure, let’s talk about Beyoncé — who, by the way, has spent years breaking barriers and using her platform for activism — allegedly “not singing a note” and leaving an angry crowd. Because in Trump’s universe, endorsements are only valid if they’re paid for in cash, not in talent, influence, or activism. And to think, he’s upset about the “illegality” of paying for endorsement? Sorry, Donald — wasn’t it Trump that was caught writing checks to “pay” for Stormy Daniel’s silence ?
This latest cry for prosecution is just the desperate, frantic flailing of a man trying to distract from his own legal woes, the Epstein scandal, and an incompetent, lawless, and floundering administration that’s running out of excuses faster than he can throw ketchup at the wall. It’s a classic Trump move: attack, deflect, repeat. Meanwhile, his admin continues to operate under the cloud of corruption, and patronage unchecked.
Let’s be clear: this isn’t about “law and order,” it’s about political kabuki theater designed to keep his base distracted — because if they’re busy waving “lock her up” signs over Oprah and Beyoncé, they won’t notice the staggering corruption, the mismanagement, or the unraveling state of our democracy.
So go ahead, Donald, chase that red herring of celebrity endorsements. It’s a perfect reflection of your own, frankly, embarrassing, inability to argue from a position of integrity. While you’re busy calling for Kamala’s arrest, real issues of justice, climate change, and income inequality are being ignored. But hey, as long as you’re preventing people from focusing on the Epstein files or criminal investigations, it’s all good, right?
